Owning a local restaurant can be a risky business, unless you’re the owner of Daphne’s Lodge. Daphne’s Lodge is a warm, hospitable restaurant located in Cordele, Georgia that has been a family owned business since 1952. Daphne’s Lodge has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The restaurant has also appeared in Southern Living, and was also featured on the cover of one of Southern Living’s cookbooks. Everything on Daphne’s menu is to-die-for delicious, from their award-winning catfish to their mouth-watering filet mignon, everything is a winner.
Mr. Burt, one of the owners at Daphne’s says that they really focus on making their customers feel comfortable. Daphne’s puts an emphasis on little details. Daphne’s has a southern, home feel to it, from the white rocking chairs on the front porch, to the gorgeous fireplace in the middle of the dining room. “We are really fortunate that we have been open for this many years, and we are extremely lucky to have been featured in major magazines such as Southern Living, but we work really hard to please anyone and everyone that walks through our doors,” says Mr. Burt. “The most important thing any restaurant can do, that can help to their success, is to be hospitable to their guests.”
